Get started and pair two Android phones

Set one phone up as the camera, the other as the monitor, and connect them over your home Wi-Fi.

About this guide

Leya Baby Monitor works with two Android phones on the same Wi-Fi network. One phone stays in the baby's room and acts as the camera. The other is the monitor that you keep with you. The video shows how to choose each role, place the camera so it has a clear view, and pair the two phones by scanning a QR code.

Keep your own QR code and PIN private. Both phones must be on the same local network while pairing.

If it does not work

The camera does not appear on the monitor

Check that both phones are on the same Wi-Fi network. A VPN, a guest network or router client isolation can block local discovery.

The QR code will not scan

Hold the monitor phone steady in front of the camera phone and make sure the QR code is fully visible and the screen is bright.
