Who we are and scope

LeyaSoft is the studio that develops Leya Baby Monitor and is the controller of information submitted through this website or directly to support. This policy applies to the Android app, babymonitor.leyasoft.com, and related support communication. Contact: admin@leyasoft.com.

Local operation and no account

The app turns Android devices on the same local Wi-Fi network into a camera and monitor. It does not require an account and uses no LeyaSoft cloud relay. LeyaSoft cannot view the live feed or remotely access paired devices. The app contains no advertising or behavioral analytics SDK.

Camera, microphone, and child-related content

When you enable the relevant features, the app accesses camera video, snapshots, microphone audio, talkback audio, and sound levels and sound categories detected on the monitor device. These may contain the image or voice of a child or other people nearby. Live video and audio travel directly between paired devices using encrypted WebRTC media transport and are not sent to LeyaSoft. Snapshots remain on the monitor device unless you choose to share or save them using Android features.

Sound recognition on the device

The monitor device can analyse the audio it receives from the camera to alert you to speech, crying, coughing or sneezing, finger snaps, and sudden loud sounds. The analysis runs entirely on the monitor device with a small built-in neural-network model (YAMNet, run with LiteRT, the TensorFlow Lite runtime). The audio and the results are not sent to LeyaSoft or to any other server. The result is shown to you in the alert (for example a sound category and a percentage) and is not stored as a history. You can switch each sound type off and choose its sensitivity in the app.

Local network, Wi-Fi, and pairing data

To find and connect devices, the app uses local IP addresses, Wi-Fi network name (SSID), nearby Wi-Fi and local-network access, and app-generated device and client identifiers. On Android versions that require it, location permission is requested only so Android can reveal the current Wi-Fi name; the app does not request GPS coordinates or track physical location. Pairing uses a six-digit PIN and then stores random pairing tokens. Camera name, icon, colour, network address, and saved network name may also be exchanged between paired devices.

Music and audio files

If you use lullaby features, the app may read audio files and basic metadata that you select or that are available in the Baby Monitor media folder. Selected tracks can be copied directly over your local network to the camera device. The app also includes ten instrumental lullabies created by LeyaSoft with the help of artificial intelligence. They are copied once into the Baby Monitor media folder on the camera device the first time the camera starts; if you delete them, they are not restored. The app stores its music library, favourites, playlists, playback state, and timers locally. Uploaded tracks remain on the camera until you delete them; manually added files remain in device storage unless you delete them separately.

Notifications and background operation

The app uses notifications, wake locks, and camera, microphone, and media-playback foreground services so an active camera or monitor can continue operating while the screen changes or the app is in the background. These functions do not send notification content or usage statistics to LeyaSoft.

Information stored on your devices

The app stores preferences, sound-alert settings, pairing PIN and tokens, app-generated identifiers, saved camera details, Wi-Fi name, connection settings, music records, and temporary upload files in app-private storage or Android media storage. App-private data is excluded from Android cloud and device backup. LeyaSoft does not receive this local data.

Security

WebRTC protects live video, live audio, and talkback audio in transit between paired devices. Pairing, control commands, device details, sound events, and music transfers use an authenticated connection inside your local network but are not currently encrypted at the application layer. Use a trusted private Wi-Fi network, protect it with WPA2 or WPA3, do not expose the app ports to the internet, and avoid untrusted guest or public networks. Pairing tokens are random and PIN attempts are rate-limited.

Information you send to LeyaSoft

If you email us or submit a website form, we receive the information you provide: email address, optional name, optional message, page language, optional product-update choice, and closed-test application details such as country, Android device models, home Wi-Fi availability, parent or caregiver context, why you need a baby monitor now, your main concern, who else may need access, and notes. We use it to answer your request, provide support, manage and improve testing, prevent abuse, and send product updates only when you opt in. You may unsubscribe or request deletion by emailing admin@leyasoft.com. We do not sell personal information.

Website technical data and service providers

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, processes the website, database, and ordinary server data needed to deliver and secure the site. This may include IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, date and time, user agent, and security diagnostics. The website also stores first-party page-view events for aggregate traffic reporting: page path, locale, referrer domain, source and campaign (UTM) link parameters, broad device class, optional country header, and a daily one-way IP hash. The website intentionally uses no advertising, cross-site tracking, or behavioral analytics cookies. Hosting and email providers act only as service providers for operating the site and communication.

Third-party app components

The app uses Android and third-party components including CameraX, WebRTC, ML Kit Barcode Scanner, ZXing, Media3, Room, and LiteRT with the YAMNet model (Copyright Google LLC, Apache License 2.0). Barcode recognition, sound recognition, media handling, and the local database operate on the device. WebRTC is configured without LeyaSoft, STUN, or TURN relay servers. We have not configured these components to send baby-monitor content or analytics to LeyaSoft or their vendors. Google Play and Android may independently process store, installation, security, and diagnostic data under their own policies.

Retention, deletion, and deletion requests

To delete local app data: 1) remove a saved pairing in the app to delete that connection; 2) use Android Settings to clear Leya Baby Monitor storage, or uninstall the app, to remove app-private preferences and databases; and 3) separately delete any audio files that you placed in shared Android media storage. To request deletion of information held by LeyaSoft: 1) email admin@leyasoft.com from the address used to contact us; 2) write “Leya Baby Monitor data deletion” and identify the support request, test application, or update subscription; and 3) we will confirm the request and complete it within 30 days unless the law requires limited retention. Website support records and closed-test application details are otherwise cleared or minimized after 24 months. If you opted into updates, your email address and consent record remain until you unsubscribe. Temporary app uploads are removed when no longer needed. Hosting security logs follow the provider’s operational schedule.

Children

Leya Baby Monitor is a tool for adult parents and caregivers and is not directed to children for their independent use. A parent or caregiver decides when to activate the camera and is responsible for having permission to monitor people in the room. LeyaSoft does not knowingly collect a child’s video, audio, name, contact details, or account data.

Your choices, changes, and contact

You control Android permissions in system settings and may stop the camera, microphone, background service, or pairing at any time. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of information held by LeyaSoft.
